Or imagine a society where the rich and powerful always get what they want, regardless of whether it’s fair or not. That’s not justice either. The rich and powerful may have more resources, but that doesn’t mean they should be above the law.
Justice requires equality, but it also requires more than that. It requires that people be treated fairly and given what they deserve, based on their actions.
